Men’s Health, it seems by default, has been grouped within the field of Urology, which in some cases has siloed the focus to prostate, gonad, and sexual-related disorders. However, the diseases and disorders that impact a man’s health, in particular lifespan and health span are in general unrelated to urological diseases. For example, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men, however relative to prostate cancer coronary heart disease kills almost 7 times more men above the age of 30. Both diseases, and multiple others, require appropriate attention and prevention however it is imperative that we understand that Men’s Health is not limited to the organs below the belt, but instead the entire body.

In this webinar, you’ll hear an in-depth discussion and assessment of men’s health from the lens of healthspan, —prolonging the quality of life and the period of life spent in “good health” — and from the lens of lifespan — the longitude or duration of life expectancy. Both of which overlap and influence each other in multiple areas of health including cardiology, urology, neurology, endocrinology, and the nutritional sciences. Listen in to hear about interventions that optimize both healthspan and lifespan in men’s health using nutrition, exercise, naturopathic, and functional medicine approaches.
