As a clinician, your ability to maintain immunological tolerance towards self-tissue in acute/intensive scenarios is at the center of your clinical skill set. To do so, you need a clear grasp of the driving immunological forces, a knowledge of how self-tissue tolerances is broken and intensified, and the ability to keep your patients away from mistakes that can trigger new immunological activity towards self-tissue.
