Sharon Erdrich

Sharon has worked in healthcare for almost forty years, which commenced with becoming a NZ Registered Nurse and acquiring experience in a broad range of healthcare settings. After completing a triple diploma in natural therapies, Sharon opened House of Health, as well as teaching the health care providers of the future. She has been a lead tutor at Wellpark College of Natural Therapies since 2003 (Bachelor of Naturopathic & Herbal Medicine and Diploma of Nutrition) and has also taught at Unitec (Bachelor of Nursing) and the NZ College of Massage (Bachelor of Health Studies).

Since completing her Master of Health Science (Nutrition) in 2014, she has developed a strong clinical focus on gut health and the relationship between irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). This led her to the SIBO Symposium in Portland, Oregon in June 2016, where she heard from some of the leaders in this field. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Auckland, investigating the relationship between SIBO and pain disorders.
